Overview
Sikorsky was founded by Igor Sikorsky in 1923 and has been a Lockheed Martin company since 2015. From its main plant in Stratford, Connecticut, it builds the UH-60 Black Hawk, the CH-53K heavy-lift helicopter, the MH-60R Seahawk, the HH-60W rescue helicopter, the Firehawk, and the VH-92A presidential helicopter. It also develops MATRIX autonomy technology and uncrewed aircraft such as the U-Hawk and Nomad. Other sites include a flight test center in West Palm Beach, Florida and facilities elsewhere in Connecticut, Texas, and Alabama.
