Hubble Network

Seattle startup building a network for low-power Bluetooth devices. Its ground network is live; the satellite service that would relay Bluetooth data from orbit is not yet commercial.

Overview

Hubble Network was founded in late 2021 by Alex Haro, a co-founder of Life360, and Ben Wild, who worked on Amazon Sidewalk. It is building a global network for low-power Bluetooth devices. Its terrestrial network, which relays data through more than 100 million phones and other access points under a partnership with Life360 and Tile, is live; the company says its satellite service is still coming. Hubble says it made the first Bluetooth connection to space, launched three satellites in 2024 and four more in 2025, and has seven spacecraft in orbit. It raised a 70 million dollar Series B in September 2025 and took a further 30 million dollar investment from Seraphim Space in August 2026. Its engineering work is mostly radio, embedded software, and electronics rather than traditional spacecraft structures.

Student Insights

Space jobs for electrical and computer engineers

Hubble's openings are for embedded software, RF hardware, and wireless systems engineers. It is a good example of how electrical engineering and computer science students, not only aerospace majors, end up working on satellites.

The satellite product is not live yet

Hubble's ground network, which uses phones as receivers, is in service today. The satellite side, which is the part that would let a Bluetooth chip reach orbit from anywhere, is described by the company as coming soon. Seven company satellites are in orbit, but the service is still being built out, so judge the company on that rather than on the headline.

Startup scale

When reviewed the company had about ten open roles, most of them senior or principal level, plus lab and inventory positions in Seattle. No internship program was listed. As with any venture-funded startup, job stability depends on continuing to win customers and funding.

AI Outlook

Traditional

Hubble's core technology is radio signal processing and low-power connectivity; no significant AI programs were identified.
